It would be nice if it were possible to restrict music file uploads to only certain users.

For our website we would like to give only musicians the rights to upload their own music. This due to copyright reasons.

It could be linked to Joomla user privileges (ie author or editor), or to membership of a certain Jomsocial group with restricted membership.

The absence of a feature like this is the only reason atm holding me back from purchasing this component.

Yes , this is an interesting feature. I would make it according to the Joomla user groups.

I need this feature too for my new website! I want only approved users to be able to add the app to their profile.
