Good day!
The problem in the mapping element google maps SMALL_ZOOM_KONTROL.
It happened after the transition to jomsocial 3 on jomsocial 4.0.3

Hello !
Actuallly you should have written NO CONTROL
This is because JS4 has a werid CSS file cold old.css with:
.gm-style .gmnoprint {
display: none;
}
This is nonsense as it is hiding the gmap controls and only this.
This is fixed in Geommunity3js1.0.20
You can redownload and reinstall.
Let me know if this is fixed for you too.
