I just updated VMVendor to 1.3.18 with a bug fix for this issue.
Can you give it a try and confirm thisis fixed for you?

Yes, it worked! Thanks a lot. It's really good to know I have a good support for the package.

I added a carriage return after "Hello," as below in /var/www/...components/com_vmvendor/views/mailcustomer/tmpl/default.php:
