They can do it item by item with different taxes or it's a general setting?

In VMVendor 1.3 it can only be a VATTax,
But in next version we're introducing every other tax calculation methods.
You'll be able to choose it 'per product'

There is allready a beta in the current package but it doesn't include yet the tx modifications as we're currently working on it.
It might be included by friday.

Sorry for the late reply
I just added Vmvendor 1.5 beta3 to the pack (for joomla3 and vm3)
Give it a try, it has an improvement for vendor taxes management.
Now vendors should be able to add any taxe types and combinations.
