Can't download free extension

I keep adding to cart, but it never supplies me with a link. it just takes me to my account and wants all my personal information, which as a computer I never supply to a company unless I actually pay for something, which I don't buy a product without being able to test it's quality first.
It would be nice if you could remedy that, I would greatly appreciate it.
