VVMendor Setup

You have now installed VMVendor and all the required elements .

Now the way to setup VVMendor will mainly depend on what product types your members are willing to sell.

Note: A large part of the setting also refers to Virtuemart component wich is not developped or supported by Nordmograph. Being comfortable with this component helps


Virtuemart Setup.
Virtuemart needs few important settings tobe ready for VMVendor.
  • Enable Multivendor mode. Go to your site ( administrator/index.php?option=com_virtuemart&view=config ) Virtuemart administration page  administrator/index.php?option=com_virtuemart&view=config ) , at the end of the first tab (Shop), in Advanced settings set Enable Multivendor  option to administrated multivendor
  • Enable Joomla plugins. Go to your site ( administrator/index.php?option=com_virtuemart&view=config ) Virtuemart administration page  administrator/index.php?option=com_virtuemart&view=config ) , in the first tab (Shop), in Shop settings check the box for Enable Joomla plugins. this is required for the content plugin to show on the Product details page. This plugin is important to show vendor reference on the product page as the 'Question to vendor button'
  • Set the safe path correctly in Virtuemart. This is crucial especially if you want your vendors to sell digital goods, but no only. This is where your invoices will be stroed. Options screen
You can reach the VMVendor Option screen easily, clicking the topright button called 'Options'.
