This plugin only reads what it founds, it's not responsible for file length.
I guess what you refer to is the VMVendor mp3 sample feature.
Actually it's 30 seconds because if it's full length a little geeeky visitor could look into the source code to find th e mp3 path and download it without purchasing.
Wich is not what a ecommerce busniess wants.
But you can change the 30 value to someting else
editing it in the vmvendor component addproduct and editproduct controllers
search for 30 in
components/com_vmvendor/controllers/addproduct.php
components/com_vmvendor/controllers/editporduct.php
and change it for what you like
