No, there are 2 ways for users to be located
- Jomsocial way, using Jomsocial address fields in profile and making sure the fields match with the Jomsocial configuration (integration tab) Address fields
This way , users get their location according to their postal address when thay save their profile.
- Geommunity3 way: Install the Geommunity Locator Profile application (as core application) to let users set their location manualy clicking on their profile map
Once they get their location the #__community_users table (in PHPmyadmin ) get new values in latitude and longitude fields (other than 0 or 255)
Then they will show on the map.
