[Please move this entry to "VMVendor support"!]

Dear Adrien,

As always: Thank you again for your continued high-quality support and updates for this component.

I have a usability / comfort request today:

While editing the public vendor profile in the front end (after clicking the edit icon in vendor profile), the edit form is displayed with the same associated module as the vendor profile view - as expected.

However after saveing changes the redirect does load the vendor profile view but without the previous module setup.

This should be resolveable by detecting the initial menu item id (in profile view) and preserving it for the update redirect.

Would you consider this for the next update please?

Best regards,
Silke

Hi Silke,

Yes absolutely even before if this is urgent.
But I can't reproduce this on my test setup at
www.nordmograph.com/vmvendor/index.php?o...orprofile&Itemid=124
try it with demo_user1/demo_user1 for instance
On the edit form the 124 Itemid is kept and also after submitting the form and redirecting.

The editform controller uses a function to get the vendor profile Itemid
It requires you have at least one published and public menu item to the vendor profile.

Item can be in a non published menu , but it is required for the Itemid.

Does it help ?

Hi Adrien,

Ok, got it in the third attempt: The key is to have a public menu item for index.php?option=com_vmvendor&view=vendorprofile to get it right (was set to "registered" access on my site).

Is there any reasonable oposition to a "registered" access level menu item for this? (You can only use it when logged in, thus registered ..)

Best regards,
Silke

Hi

The Itemid is the one for the profile and this profile should be set to public as supposed to be visited by guests too.
