Pre-sale Q: By Usergroup? was created by megana
Hi there,

Does this work by usergroup? For example, I have Registered and Author users on my site. When a new Registered user is created, I don't want Autofriend to run. And when a new Author user is created, I want Autofriend to make the Author use friends with all other Author users. Is this possible?

Well you still have the regular Joomla control access available for this , so YES :)

Ok I bought and installed it but I don't see how to set it up to work with some usergroups and not others. Can you please explain a bit more?

Hi Megana,

Open the plugin settings and you can set the access parameter so it only processes for some usergroups.

When I look at the plugin settings, I only see:

Profile Manager: EasySocial, Jomsocial, Community Builder
Request Mode: Confirmed Request, Friendship Request
Friendship Request custom message: (type in)
Friend(s) ID: (type in)
Friends Party!: Yes, No

Yes, these are the plugin specific settings, but a plugin also has general settings; Status, Access, Ordering
