You need to upgrade the component as it seems you don't have the latest version.
Redownload and reinstall.

Also I could add a mp3 link, so if the problem persists with newest version, check you folder permissions.

Hello,

the installed Version is 1.2.5. I reinstalled it from your download link but the "Save failed" message still occurs.

I set the complete Folder CHMOD from *media/com_myplayer/* to 777. Is there another Folder I could adapt?

On frontend the message "save failed" occurs when trying uploading a mp3 file. I used a very small file for testing.
