I guess this requirement is checked at various different places.

I feel like it makes no sense to use a dating app without a distance check and proximity sorting options.
So if you really want this, I can provide this as a custom paid work.

What I would recommend is that you notify your users about the feature and mention that they need to be located to use the feature or be found in the results.

Is DD managing city fieds ? NO Jomsocial is.

DD is only using the coordinates stored by Jomsocial, Community Builder or EasySocial.
If your Jomsocial is not storing coordinates right , this is not an issue with DD.
After changing your address fields values, check the jomsocial table #__community_users for latitude and longitude fields
(Iallready told you about that but you did not report)
These fields must have values other than the default 255.
If you get a 255, this is because
- Google Geocoding doesn't work right on your domain check your APIKey
- Your fields matching is not set correctly for Geocoding in Jomsocial config.

but don't blame my work and discredit the wrong person because Jomsocial is not set correctly to translate Jomsocial addresses into Jomsocial coordinates!

Also note DD component is not done to list everybody
As I told you it lists all the users
- with age, gender and coordinates set , but also users can choose to hide from the results if not interested in dating.

I'm here to assist, but only if you understand that DD doen's work on its own, it relies on Jomsocial and requires both are set correctly.
Understanding all this you can claim to Paypal for 39€, but this is not fair.
