When I click on 'Users' in the admin panel I get

'An error has occurred.
1064 You have an error in your SQL syntax; check the manual that corresponds to your MySQL server version for the right syntax to use near 'FROM #__alpha_userpoints_levelrank WHERE typerank='0'' at line 1'

I use php 7.4 and mysql 8. All other links are fine.

It's a fresh installation and version 1.1.13

Seems to be a php7.4 issue. Can you try downgrading to 7.3?
Can you confirm?

- Need help? Post the URL of the related page (eventualy as confidential info), it will help solve your issue faster.
- An error, notice or warning? report the exact message including the line number
- If you get a white page , enable error reporting and / or check your server error logs.

checked php 7.3.12 ... the same issue ...

I'm pretty certain this is a mysql 8 issue. I had a smimilar issue with another extension.

The helpdesk answered:
"The issue was indeed with MySQL 8. They've expanded their reserved keywords and included "groups" as a keyword, which conflicted with what we were previously using."

Hope that helps ... cheers

Has there been any resolution (or work-around) on this.
I just started working on a dev site with mysql 8 and running into the same problem.

Still no fix for this?
Mysql 8 is becoming standard (and PHP 7.4 is also).
And on some hosting sites you can't downgrade :-(

SOLVED

It appears this was resolved in a recent patch.
However, the Nordmograph web site indicates the latest version of AUP is 1.1.12, but the actual version in the latest download is 1.1.13.
I'd suggest that you update the web site.
Also, it would be helpful if the install package had the version number included also.
