K2 deliver points to author for clicks

Modification will require to reward article author instead of current visitor.
So , it will require to get the current article AUthor user id with a mysql Query and and set the AUP function to reward him instead of the current user.

Our AUP system is pretty big. So we are also working with 3rd party extensions like JFBConnect or Invitex having rules in AlphaUserPoints.
Will AltaUserPoints be able to detect these rules and work with it automatically?
Also: Do I have to rebuy every rule that I purchased for AlphaUserPoints (JomSocial Rule, Daily LogIn,...).

Yes rules detection will work the same.
Yes you'll have to download the new versions of these extensions/rules , plugins whatever have the old ones might not work.
Daylin login is a free extension.

Are rules for JFBConnect and Invitex in that main bundle of AltaUserPoints or do I need to get them from their developers?

Here's what sourcecoast wrote me about the compatibility of AltaUserPoints and JFBConnect:
"We heard about the change of hands recently, but haven't tested Alta User Points yet. If they didn't really change the underlying component name, then everything probably works as expected. If they changed the system named stuff to altauserpoints, then we probably need to update. That would mean every extension dev has to update, which would be a pain, but not completely unexpected. We'll have to look into it more. Of course, if you decide to test out Alta with JFBConnect, let us know how it goes."

To reply , the names indeed changed. Only the DB table names did not change,
Files got renamed, classes and functions
An easy conversion process is to replace every occurences of 'lpha' by 'lta' (lowercase)
except for db tables ...
and LPHA to LTA uppercase for language constant vars
