Account page redirect for users not logged in

Hi

We link to a page (index.php?option=com_altauserpoints&view=account) in our menu. If the user is not logged in, they are redirected to the home page with an error message.
The user experience could be better in this case, if the user remained on the account page, and was presented with a login form instead.

Do you see any way to "quick fix this issue" as it's a matter of finding a solution ASAP for us.

Found a way to hack it, by modifying the account controller in line 45, redirecting to another page (user login), that in turn redirects the user back to the account page.
Not pretty with hacks, but works for now.

A simple solution could be an option to define the redirect from backend, kinda what I've made with the hack.
