So does it work as expected ? I could see the notification loging in at your site ?
Does it now work with gzip compression enabled ?

I didn't test module.
I enabled gzip compression in global server setting and disabled in joomla backend.
Notifications works fine.

I use GZIP compression on my website and, with the plugin enabled, not only does the popup not display, but I also get a message saying that the page load failed.
The page does actually load a few seconds later, but on the whole it looks really bad and adds extra loading time.
Disabling the plugin and adding the module solves these problems and seems to work without any problems.
