Is it possible to also give Monetary Gifts and would it be possible to offer special access details if a user gives a certain gift amount or virtual gift object?

Hello James,

No, not with jGifts.
But it could be achieved with a points system such as AlataUserPoints or EasySocial's.
With AUP, the user group can be automatically upgraded according the the amount of owned points.
