Hmm and does disabling the VM option:

Show product customfields in browse views

solve the issue ?

Hmm, no change (incl. tests on both FF and Chrome and J-Cache clearing).

Can you try this:
around line 222
in the sql query , replace
Code:
$product->virtuemart_product_id
with
Code:
$app->input->getInt('virtuemart_product_id')
