Ok so if you prefer can change that function for you and replace it with some php 5.2 compatible code... ?

ok stop. I changed it on 1and1 to php 5.4 and i can't rollback to 5.2 :-(

Ok. Now i don't understand. Even if it's activate on 5.4 on 1and1 locally i'm still on 5.2.17... And your rss seems working...

Did you do smth special ?

No, it won't work untill I modifiy the function or your server updated to php5.3
So if it's working , I guess your server went php 5.3+
